Just interested to see if there are any fellow lovers of the WWE industry out there, as it's not offered as a point of interest.
After all a lot of people either haven't heard of it or have misconcieved ideas about it.
It's something I grew up with as a child so this makes me rather starnge to my friends and thye don't really know what I'm on about and talking to family memebers about it gets to abit on the tedious side when you know their exact standing point on the topic at hand.

I follow WWE, I go throgh phases of watching it and not watching it. Same as you its something from my childhood that ive grown up with.
I watched wrestlemania when it was on a couple of weekends ago. I was disappointed with it to be honest, nowhere near as good as last years. But then it did have Shaun Michaels vs the Undertaker, Triple H vs Undertaker was never gonna match upto that.

I used to watch it a lot, when it was WWF, mainly because my ex was a huge fan and we had sky TV. Now in those days it was, let me see, TheRock, Triple H, Vince, Shane and Stephanie McMahon, Honky Tonk Man, The Big Show.....
Nowadays we dont have sky, but my 12 year old son has been a fan since he was 4 and has 100's of the action figures, gradually they lose their heads, legs and arms and I have got through tubes of superglue! He has the duvet covers, posters, and clothing, and went to Butlins a couple of years ago with his dad to see the live show, and his all time hero, John Cena. Hustle, Loyalty, Respect!!

My lil sis is totally obsessed with John Cena she would actually kidnap him if she got it into her head to do so.
Personally I was a big 3:16 fan and 619. Tho Cena certainly inspires passion for the industry.
I used to love it when steve would hose McMahon down with beer. One of my all time fav moments.
I didn't get to see wrestlemania but I checked in with the news on their facebook pages, I can't believe the Rock is back and he could be awhile now. One of the greats has retured and I just heard about Edge retiring and I think thats a really sad thing he's been in the industry for 13 years and is a ten time world champion and now his own body has become the ruin of his career. Sad times indeed.

What about the "proper" wrestling of yesteryear? Saturday afternoons with Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and Kendo Nagasaki on the tele ...

I too watch WWE, and occassionally TNA. I attended WM 23 a few years back.
Its actually pretty poor at the moment - my favourite era being the attitude era - but C M Punk is refreshing to see. Hopefully they can keep his momentum going (this is the WWE so probably not). Shyemma is correct too - Kofi and Evan (or Air Boom!) are fun to watch and hopefully an indication that the tag division is finally going to be sorted out.

Whilst WWE is reasonably entertaining its pretty obvious that 99.9% of it is fake.So if you bear that in mind it can be quite funny to watch.

WWE fan right here, totally agree with the comment that CM Punk is refreshing to see as I do think that since it went PG it went a bit downhill. Also, wrestlers don't have that pizazz that wrestlers in the nineties had with all the costumes and the face painting that used to keep us all entertained, they don't also have their own gimic like Papa shango, Jake the snake, Big boss man etc. Now they pretty much all look the same, behave the same and no longer have that WOW factor which got us all hooked as kids.
Does anyone follow Zack Ryder? That man can always put a smile on my face!
Take care....

Zack Ryder is one happy guy and I find for inspirational guys it has to be Cena he just makes people smile. You want to follow him but the cult like way that people gravitate to CM Punk is really interesting personally I'm more for Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio. I'm a bit young to remember Jake the snake but I remember everyone about Austin's time.
I think that the WOW factor is still very much there.

Oh my gosh - do you guys remember Chyna? How cool was she! She was my idol... she changed the way women were perceived in wrestling as she was wrestling with guys and built like one too. In fact, she was bigger than some of them!
