I love rock and metal but its more the UK and US bands like Metallica,Megadeth,Sabbath,Zep,Floyd,Rush etc etc I love live music and get to see as much as I can distance, Money and time permitting but failing that I buy the cd;s/dvds etc
I buy the 'classic rock' and 'prog' mags and follow whats going on but i tend to stick to what i know rather than follow newer bands as it gets expensive buying lots of unknown music.I do listen to all the sampler discs though to get a taste of whats out there. |

What happened to my post ??? someone altered it !!!! My point was to find people who enjoy and follow New rock bands as everyone assumes when you put Metal or rock that you mean the old school stuff

I amended the headline to make it clearer. Is it wrong? You can edit it again as it is your post. Just click on edit and correct it.

You need to click Edit under your thread and then click inside the headline box. You ought to try it again so you are an expert next time?!

I love Metal and rock! have done for as long as i remember. Finnish festivals sound cool, but never been to one, I personally am a Download Festival kinda guy. live a couple of miles from where it's held so its the perfect festival for me.

Machine Head are my fav band of all time. Can't think of any new bands on the scene that really keep my interest.

Hey there I like metal but I like new and old metal like Iron Maiden, Trivium, Machine Head, Evile, Metallica, Megadeth, Judas Priest but u could say they are old but most are still bringing out recent albums so they are still doing new music
What do u have against 'old' metal anyway lol? Laura |

Metal is slowing dying a death, last 5 years has been flat as a pancake with dull bands pretending to be Metal.
Korn were the best. |

I'd have to disagree - I think Korn, as much as I like them, were the start of the decline of metal. Them or the Beastie Boys anyway. Korn brought rap to the metal world, and although they did it well, it really was a case of making metal music lighter than what was out there at the time.
Anyway, metal, like most other music, goes in cycles, and will become strong again in a few years time. I personally feel bands like Five Finger Death Punch, Black Stone Cherry and Shinedown are keeping metal alive in some form, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. |
