A Room With A View, by EM Forster - an excellent piece of social comedy mocking the behaviour of the English abroad during the Victorian period. After reading this book, I have never stopped wanting to travel all around Italy to fully appreciate Forseter's depiction of the country... this is much better than a travel brochure!

The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. Read this while I was in Sicily, such a beautiful book. When I finished it, I spent the morning in my apartment, crying in bed.
