Who is everyones favourite comedians? I reckon there are a lot of good ones out there at the moment, although my taste is pretty mainstream I think....
I like Jason Manford,Michael Mcintyre, Alan Carr and still think, although he's an oldie, that Frank Skinner is brilliant..... |

I like all the comedians mentioned by Sooty68, especially Michael McIntyre
I don't like slapstick comedy very much, and prefer observational humour. Dave Allan (R.I.P.), with his story -telling genius, was my favourite. So believable with that Irish brogue and twinkling eyes |

I'd like to add Al Murray to my list. How could I have forgotten the Pub Landlord who also has an impeccable taste in music

Hi, have just bought tickets to see Rhod Gilbert - he's fairly new on the scene but very funny! His act is so quick you find yourself not breathing. Another one to check out is Reginald D Hunter, an American comedian who's very dry

I think right now there are simply too many good comedians to include them all. Stand up comedy seems to have hit a resurgence.
I grew up with the two ronnies, morecambe and wise and step toe and son. So a good solid base. A lot of comedians are good for different reasons. Frankie Boyle pushes the realms of decency/political correctness, russel Howard gives a rambling child like comedy and rich hall and sean lock provide a dry wit. Too much talent to choose from. |
