It has to be Morcambe and Wise, for me they are a legend of comedy along with the two Ronnies who were a close second. Even now after all these years and seeing them several times, the fork handles sketch from the two Ronnies puts me tears of laughter and watching Eric Morcambe playing the piano with 'Andrew Preview' conducting is so funny to this day. My other favourite is Les Dawson, I could watch him all day, RIP boys, you brought a lot of laughter to a great many people.

I like John Bishop, hes an observation commedian, i prefer that to someone actually standing there telling structured jokes. Another favourite is Billy Connelly.
I loved the andre previn sketch classic. |

My favourite right now has to be Tim Minchin! His stuff is very clever and I love the musical aspect!
Also really love Rhod Gilbert and of course the Mcintyre. Also find Greg Davies really funny, saw him last year and he was brilliant! I still do find Monty Python and Morcambe and Wise great though, what legends! |

not sure where to put this, so I am posting it here and in the WWE section. Mick Foley is doing a UK comedy tour at the end of next month - most venues are allowing a meet and great afterwards if anyone is interested. Reviews have been positive so far. Got me some tickets already!

The guv'nor of stand up comedy will always be Billy Connolly.
Some good ones around these days although in my opinion the worst of the current crop is Michael McIntyre. Not funny at all. |

I still love Rowan Atkinson and still watch reruns of Blackadder. I enjoyed his latest Johnny English film as well. I also like that chap on the adverts for some sort of mobile phones- he has a dad in the brass band and the latest one is him dancing with cheer leaders- he's just really funny.
