London and the surrounding vicinity has some amazingly scenic views, historical places of interest and some great landmarks - walking is a great way to enjoy these as well as the secondary gain of fun exercise! I'm looking to organise a regular London FFF walking group and wonder if anybody would be interested in taking part in this sociable activity. If so, please put your name forward by posting your interest on this thread and we'll get walking!
List of interest: ng07, yogagirl, Jenesis, yasmin, khanky, Loopylou42,...

I would be keen on this idea, I live in hertfordshire about an hour door to door to london so for me a Saturday afternoon, Sunday is best. Hope you get some interest. Be nice to see parts of London you don't always get time to do!

hi yogagirl, thanks for expressing interest, I will factor in weekends being a good time. I am currently thinking about one weekend morning/afternoon a month with walks exploring a particular part of London each time; however, will get started in putting a walk together along with a date and time to get us started, and then we can build upon that. I've also had interest directed to my email system, so it would be good to capitalise on the energy!

Hello ngo7. Your idea sounds great. Walking is part of my daily routines. I live in east London, and I walk all around whenever I get a chance. Going along the canals is an idea, such as Camden, little venice. Some people might think it's cold to go for walks. However, I think once you get going, you wish you started earlier.
Just give a shout, when ready, and I'll join you in any ways.
Regards
Yasmin

Thanks Yasmin - I also think walking is fun whatever the weather, so keep your eyes on this thread as I'll shortly be putting details of the first walk.

Is there anybody else out there who would like to take part in these great walks - as an added incentive, there is surely to be a stop for lunch and/or a drink along the way ...!!! What a great combination of healthy exercise, outdoor air and social company?! I'm sure you'll agree, so go on, please add your name to the list ...

Please let me know if you would like to participate in this group by 9 November - if there is sufficient interest, I shall put together a schedule for the first walk.

Hi guys/gals
Winter time is over with all its seasonal festivities and calorific consumption and spring time is just round the corner ... let's get walking by spring time, so we can be fully into the swing of health and fitness by the summer time.
I shall very shortly post a venue and route and also inform by email those fish who have already opted in.
If you wish to sign up to this event, which will hopefully take place once every few weeks or so, post your interest or you can email me, it does not matter which.
The more the merrier ...
I do so look forward to seeing the queue of fish who wish for a bit of land time fun!

I am always interested in walking, especially "Walking with Fishes" which is so good that they made a film about it <was that the title?.....wonders.....> It all depends on the date and the area, so just fix something when you feel ready and I am sure some sort of queue will develop.
