eraser head? ive never seen that..but it sounds brilliant.i have to find it now.and you have just made sense of a pixies song for me called 'the lady in the radiator' that sings "in heaven, everything is fine, you've got your good thing, and i've got mine"...
you also got me craving to watch 'time bandits' the terry gillingham film.

I've just joined this site, so a big HI to one and all,
and speaking of films, I went to the Rex last month to see a film called “Everything is Illuminated” it’s not a recent film, and doesn’t have all the action of a blockbuster but never the less very entertaining, and tells the story of a young Jewish man's quest to find the woman who saved his grandfather in a small Ukrainian town that was wiped off the map by the ***** invasion if WW2. It achieves a lot without giving away too much; it has light music and beautiful scenes. I thought that when Jonathan finds the old woman's house in the middle of a sunflower field very clever. Would definitely watch this film again!

Precious is brilliant, quite depressing though.
Most recent film I've seen is Eat Pray Love, which was a nice predictable chick flick. I'm ashamed to say that it moved me even though it was full of cliches. I can't wait for Back To The Future next weekend! I've been watching that my whole childhood...

Two films have left a deep impression - the lives of others and midnight cowboy, both so different but expressing loneliness and isolation
