Fishing For A Friend

I am a self-employed design-engineer who works from home using CAD to assist other manufactures get things working and manufactured so we all can use mobile phones and other gadgets when we want to.
I'm solvent, have no great desire to get back into the mainstream mortgage market anymore and would like to do just enough to keep me interested, provide a holiday and travel to where I fancy now and then. That maybe down to the sea side, out in the country or as far as the Antipodes.
But doing anything is never quite the same on your own.
